Cadlyn Day
owner

Cadlyn came to Stillwater as a freshman at OSU in the fall of 2018. As most people do she quickly fell in love with all things Stilly and knew this would be her forever home.

Cadlyn had the honor of representing OSU as the Spirit Rider in 2021, riding the beloved Bullet across Boone Pickens Stadium throughout the football season. In May of 2022 Cadlyn graduated with her degree in Ag Leadership from OSU.

Cadlyn is married to Paden Day and they make their home in Orlando, OK.

Growing up in Elk City, OK, Cadlyn Smith spent her summers assisting her mom, Darcey Smith, with her Swimmin Safe lesson program. As their program, Swimmin Safe, continued to expand to include numerous communities Cadlyn's interest in completing her own certification grew.

Cadlyn has also worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor for the YMCA.

In August of 2022 Cadlyn headed to Southwest Aquatics in Winter Garden, Florida and completed her own survival swim instructor certification with PediaSwim.

Darcey Smith has an extensive background in aquatics. Growing up in Tempe, AZ, Darcey learned to swim at an early age. She grew up a swimmer competing as a synchronized swimmer and on her high school swim team. In high school and college she worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor.

After moving to Oklahoma Darcey began a private swim lesson program in Elk City, Oklahoma where her and her husband have lived for 25 years.

Darcey has also worked as an aquatics director with the YMCA and developed the curriculum and assisted in opening a swim school. In 2020 Darcey went to Southwest Aquatics in Winter Garden, Florida to complete her PediaSwim survival swim instructor certification. Darcey is passionate about giving children the skills they need to be confident in the water in any situation. She is proud to have taught multiple generations of families these lifesaving skills, and to have mentored 4 instructors who have become PediaSwim instructors and started programs in their communities.

Darcey is married to Will Smith and after both of their children finished college and married they decided to make their home in Stillwater to be close to them. Darcey splits her time between Midland/Odessa where Will works and Stillwater.

Abigail Hester graduated from OSU in May 2024 with my Bachelors of Science in Agribusiness.

Abigail grew up in a small agricultural area of Southern California where she started swimming at a young age. Abigail swam competitively from the age of 4 through high school. She has always felt a passion for the importance of water safety and has always loved anything that involves being in the water.

Abigail began working for Cowboy Swim Academy in 2024 as our office manager. Abigail also assisted with our older swimmers in the stroke development classes. After one season with Cowboy Swim Academy Abigail decided to head to Florida to complete her PediaSwim instructor certification and join our team as a certified instructor with the ability to teach all ages and skill levels.

When asked why she decided to become certified with PediaSwim, “Over these past few months I have found so much joy in teaching stroke development classes and in helping out in the office. I have enjoyed being back in the pool and am excited to go to Florida in February to complete my PediaSwim training. I’m so excited to continue working with your kiddos and helping them learn the skills needed to be safe in the water.”
